The word ‘research’ most likely causes people to cringe with painful memories of their efforts spent laboring on school papers. However, as an autodidact, I’ve found that research is an avenue to enlightenment, excitement and enrichment. Knowledge Adventuring wouldn’t be possible without it.
It’s essentially become my number one hobby. I have an insatiable appetite for knowledge and objective truth which drives my desire for deep research. Uncovering little-known knowledge that sheds light on topics the majority of humanity takes for granted, fills me with excitement and wonder. It’s exhilarating!
I definitely understand that most people have zero desire to learn anything once leaving school. For those, however, that still have a sense of wonder and enjoyment in questioning everything, research is the doorway to discovery.
- Have you found that a particular type of art, architecture, or music speaks to you? Would you like to discover more? Research it.
- Have you found that certain literature or poetry appeals to you? Find out more. Research it.
- Have you found a specific hobby that gives you joy? Find out more. Research it.
- Have you suddenly found philosophy of interest to you? Find out more. Research it.
- Are you thinking maybe ancient history is more than what the orthodox establishment feeds you? How does the accepted theories hold up to anomalous evidence? Why isn’t that opposing evidence considered or allowed to reshape the accepted theories? Find out more. Research it.
- Are you thinking maybe science isn’t the pure pursuit you were taught in school? Perhaps something hasn’t seemed right with ‘science’ in awhile? Find out more. Research it.
- Are you thinking maybe the legacy news media isn’t necessarily unbiased, and perhaps might be spreading propaganda? Might they be lying by omission, or outright twisting the facts? Find out more. Research it.
- Are you thinking maybe religion might be more about manipulation, guilt and greed rather than spiritual fulfillment? Find out more. Research it.
- Are you thinking maybe government isn’t really here to help you and is instead more about corruption, greed, grift and power? Find out more. Research it.
- Are you finding that more and more authorities’ (‘experts’) proclamations have become falsified over the last many years? I wonder why that is? Find out more. Research it.
How else can you know if there’s more out there for your discovery? What mysteries and epiphanies might you uncover? How can you trust anything someone tells you to believe if you don’t look into it? How else can you avoid manipulation? Is it healthy to accept claims without some skepticism backed by further digging? Can you possibly ever really know anything if you don’t do some research?
We’re all pushed to accept what we’re told by people and institutions that evoke authority, emphasized the narratives and traditionally have held the population’s respect. Do they still deserve that respect?
What are the opposing narratives? Do they have any basis? If so, why have they not been reported or given consideration? Find out. Research.
Seek, discover, soar!
